Assembly Update
The Assembly held our regularly scheduled meeting on Monday Oct 27th at the Mendenhall Library. This was a hybrid meeting with seven members present.
The Assembly reviewed the Feast letter from National dated Oct 15, 2025 and consulted on how we can dig deeper to provide funds to National to help make-up for the budget short fall. It was resolved that we would donate the money from our garage sale to National as an extra payment. It was also decided that we would increase our monthly contribution by 24% for the next month, and would consult with the community about making this a regular monthly increase into the future.
The treasurer has investigated the idea that we can connect our bank account to Zelle to take online payments - she reports this must be done by a signer on the account and has asked Jacque and or Adam to follow up on this.
We would like to take this moment to acknowledge the award that George Holly has received at the Governor' Arts and Humanities Awards.
Faith in the future conference is scheduled for Nov 22nd - that's just three weeks away, there is a day long session at the JACH on Saturday - and a "Meet and Greet" Friday night 7:00 pm at the Parkshore Clubhouse. registration is available online https://juneau.earth/future
Elisabeth Sutton will be visiting in November, she would love visit with friends while she is in town, if you would like to see her, contact Laurie Cropley.
Much Love
